How do I clean my water jugs?

Well I got 3 five gallon water jugs I use to store my ro/di water 2 of them I've had for a while and have noticed there is some stuff growing on the bottom just from being moist all the time and has a little funky smell to it. I can't get my hands into the container to use a towel to wipe out down so I was wondering what I could put in them to clean them?

make sure to put a whole lot of baking soda in, then a whole lot of vinegar and shake real well
