Coralife Turbo-Sea 1740P Aquarium Pump.

No One seems to have any Reviews about this pump... So0o0o0o I Want to know is this Too Much Overkill On a 180 Marine land Tank?

its 290 Watts.. Will This Sky Rocket My Electric Bill?

Your pump is a rebranded Pan World 200PS (I own one of these). Same pump as the BlueLine 70HD. Some of the most reliable pumps on the market.

I would consider this overkill on a 180 gallon reef tank unless you are going to run a lot of peripherals off of it.

Also, don't you think it might be a good idea to hook it up and run it before you plumb it into your system, like by maybe a small tub of water with intake/output leads going into it? Might be good to know if it leaks or not, and you can get the idea of noise levels. Personally, I would never hook up a pump to my system without knowing the above. these pumps make some noise, so don;t expect dead silence, but they are not that loud.

Also, you can see what the nominal wattage draw has, so you can probably answer the electricity question by yourself if you compare your electical unit costs to the wattage draw.

Thank You AcroporAddict. Ha Ha Ha Didnt Know It was a Spin Off Of Pan World.
Yes I Plan On T"ing Off and Running BRS Carbon and GFO Reactor... UV Sterilizer... also Thinking about getting a Cal Reactor Which Dont Know Much About But I Want This 180 to Be mainly SPS and Im Sick Of Spending alot On Dosing. Im Thinking if its Still too much flow after i "T" those Items Off I Might Have an Extra Line Run back into The 1st stage of the sump.. What Do you think? Or should I Just Buy an New Pump that Has a Less Flow Rate?

I Plan On Testing it Out This Week While Im Still Working On My DIY Stand lol..

If you are running all those peripherals, then I think you are good to go. But you should run a ball valve off the output. You can reduce the output with no effect on the pump, and the pump will use a bit less juice.

After Doing Some Research I Think Im Going to Sell it and Get a Less Powerful Pump maybe around the 900 gph - 1100 gph with wayyy less watts

What ever you think, but you may have issues running all those peripherals with a 900-1100 gph pump and getting adequate return flow to your 180 in that flow range.

Keep the first pump until you are sure your 900-1100 gph one is adequate.
