Phytoplankton vice Zooplankton

zooplanktons eat phyto, and get eaten by larger organisms. like corals.

only some corals take up Phyto straight. and the number is very low and we arent even sure of that yet.

So are you saying the Phytoplankon foods are unneeded in most tanks ?
