I can't afford to continue to run metal halides any longer and I am looking for some LED suggestions for my sps dominant tank 60x24x24. Some suggestions would be appreciated. I can't really afford to go with the radions for this setup as I would need 3 of them. I also would like something that looks as close to a 14k Phoenix or 20k radium as possible. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

You should be able to use 2 radions with 120 degree lenses. Just a thought, I love mine.

I don't know that I would get the light penetration I would need with 2 radions with 120 degree lenses

You should be asked to do with the pros

Looking at the charts of the radion it has a weak 30" spread. Less expensive the AI Hydra 52 has a fairly good spread at 36" Two should cover nicely. I have three on a 72" and at 50% max it has more then ample lighting.

My next choice would be a 48" photon reefbredders fixture. I personally do not own one of these fixtures but reading the forums I think I have only seen one or two bad reviews vrs the many many great reviews. at 500.00 for a fully controllable full spectrum fixture it sounds hard to beat.

For $100 more you could get 2 IT2040 fixtures which would give you better end to end coverage, 10 more leds, and if your Photon 48 ever fails, you are out of light, with 2 IT2040, if one fails, you have enough light to keep things alive while you get it fixed and don't have to panic. I always like having a back up. I have 2 IT2080's over my 180g sps reef and they have run 13 months 24/7 without a hitch. And just in case you didn't know, EverGrow makes the RB Photons and the IT2040 is almost the exact same thing as a Photon 16 (slightly different led layout). Just my 2 cents worth.
