We'll lets start off saying I'm new to the hobby again. I had a 135g reef tank about 6 years ago, but now getting back into it everything seems to be quite different. Such as equipment techniques and so on. I just currently bought a used 120g corner setup it's a *******e acrylic with built in over flow, a wet/dry sump with bio balls, ETSS skimmer buckets of salt lots of test supplies and years worth of pumps and tubing. 125 lbs LR bit it's been outside for months. 2 water barrels, and a 10g CT tank. (No heater or lights) so I'm looking for some input on some things. All for 350$
What should I do with the LR?
The sump has a 1 1" overflow and 2 1/2" returns. I want it quiet and not sure if I want the bio balls?
The sump is to small for a refuge and is not very accessible from the top. Can I add the 10g for a refuge inline some how for algae?
Light ideas?
I just rebuilt the stand it had rotten MDF new sides and bottom with more support.
Acrylic has scratches so I'm currently buffing.
And plan to buy a ro/di
Here's some Picts.

nice deal...! I got my 120 long used for about 400. I have never ran bio balls but have been told not to use them...I have just dialed my drain in and am using the herbbie method and I have no noise at all. I like that over the durso or stockman style.
I am not the best person on lighting...but it seems to me like the best is led / t5...depending on what you want to have in your tank.

Thanks for the advice. I'm tossed on lighting. It's a pretty deep tank so I haven't researched much on LEDs yet. I will when I get to that step. I love my long tank but wanted a change plus I'm limited a little on space at this house. So the corner is perfect.

I just slogged through a good thread: Reefbreeders, Hydra52, buildmyled or Razor 16K. Bottom line: sounds like the Reefbreeder Photons are good.

We'll now I have the stand finished. New walls and stained it in a darker color. I'm tossed on what to do with the sump. What's the best way to cut the
Top off the acrylic to add dividers? I also ran a 24 hour cycle with bleach and then a rinse, waiting for the RO to be delivered so I can put in some prime and finish it up. Here's some new Picts.

looks good...whats up with the sump.?

It was set up to run bio balls so it has lips around the first compartment to hold egg crate 2 inches up from the bottom and 2 inches around the top. Plus the first compartment is not open 100% and has a lid. So I would have to cut the top off to make it open to turn it into a refuge. Then it's divided with 3/8 acrylic right in the middle so that would be tough to cut and move to separate the compartments.. To much work might as well start from scratch.
