Go to reefcleaners and put in your tank size and then reduce by 1/3 and get your cuc from any place you want.

Is this a newly set up tank of a mature tank? If the tank is new your initial cuc should be smaller and add to it as the need grows. For a new 75 gallon tank I would start with a mix of 15-20 small snails (Asterea, Trocus, Cerith and Nerite). If you have a sand bed also add 3-4 Nassarius snails. If you want hermit crabs (I like them but many do not) 4 or 5 small hermits would be good.

How long to wait really depends on testing results (Amonia, Nitrite and Nitrate) but I personally waited 1 month before I added my CUC even though my parameters were fine earlier.

I have 15 Astraea. 1large turbo. 15 verity. 10 nerite. 10 blue leg hermits. 5 red leg hermits. 10 tiny hermits that I can't remember the name of. They keep my 75 g really clean. I don't worry so much about over feeding now.

PLEASE wait until the cycle is complete (both ammonia and nitrites have both dropped to zero) before adding your clean up crew!!! Two weeks into the cycle is almost always way too soon to add a clean-up crew.

I did mine after 2.5 weeks(started with just 4 snails to test it with) but I started with live sand and rock which made it cycle quick and I had had 0 ammonia or nitrite for a week before I added anything. Added more about a week later and will do so until I am happy with the balance of cleaners in there.
