I just bought a brand new nanostream 6025 from Aquarium Specialty. I opened up the box and put all the parts together only to find that there is no cover to go over the magnets on both the wet and dry sides. I assume that there is a cover for but there is none whatsoever.

Can you all help me with what I need to do in order to get a magnet cover for both the wet and dry sides? I don't want the magnets to rust in the water.

Here's a pic

Thank you!!

There is no concern for them rusting and they do not come with covers, these are the same material that many impellers are made from. The old magnets needed the coating for protection.

Do you work for Tunze?

No, I do not, just at a reseller but am an avid Tunze fan :)

Shawn is correct, the magnets are ferrite, same as most impellers, it is a ceramic and does not corrode.
