I've only been reeding for about 8 months now, just kind of been winging it so far.
Does anyone have any experience with Ocreef par 38 LEDs? They're a full spectrum light.
I currently have four over a 90G. 60x18x20.

Seriously, nobody? I pray I'm not the only one that's bought these, other than the guy that I bought them off of...
They're not bad, I just think they might be causing some issues with algae growth and was wondering if anyone else has had the same issues.

Lots of people use these. Maybe not that particular brand though. I have heard mixed success stories on them. I personally would not use them and feel that 4 over your 5' tank is not nearly enough. Also, how high are they from your water line?

If you look at the watts per dollar on a larger tank they are an absolute waste of money compared to other led setups out there now.

and I'd bet lifespan of those bulbs isn't what it should be do to overheating.

You could have 2 x 120W LED fixtures (oceanrevive Arctic S026)
so 240W for $350 or so = $1.5 per watt

where you would need 12 of the PAR 38 bulbs (20W each.. I'd bet the 36W is incorrect)
12 x $80/ea = $960 = $4 per watt

That's kind of how I'm feeling about them, that I need way more as need them higher up to get good enough dispersion. Currently they sit about 12" above the surface.
On the plus side, I didn't pay full price for them, I bought them off a guy that was moving.

Do yourself a favor and get the one from Coral Compulsion, it's better designed and not from a sketchy companyz
