So after setting up my 65 gallon tank I'm still wondering if more improvements should be made to the leveling. Right now here is the tank side to side.

Now this is front to back (left side)

And front to back (right side)

Here is the diagonals

Second diagonal

So you can see I'm about 1/16 off front to back, with the tank leaning slightly forward. The amount of off levelness between the front to back left and right sides is about the same so I don't think the tank is twisting.

Is this good enough? I feel like I'm just being neurotic but want to err on the side of caution.

Btw this is how I'm setting up the levels, since the more accurate blue one is too short to go completely across, I put it on top of a bigger one to get a better reading across the whole tank.

I'd be more concerned with the stands level. I think you're splitting hairs.

I don't get that, everything I've read said to pay attention to the tank level. Since I've shimmed the stand I expect it to be more off level than the tank.

When I looked at the stands level from side to side it was perfectly level, like the tank.

When I look at the front to back, the off levelness is more extreme than the tank.

So can I ignore the stand levelness and just focus on the tank?

I think you are good. A level tank means less stress on the seals. hard to have a level tank without a level stand unless you shim the tank which I personally would not do.

Level the tank. Shimming is usually recommended actually. If you leave it not level, it puts more stress on the panes of glass and seams.
