I have 90 gal Reef tank that is 4 months old.
All is going well except for a large amount of sediment in my water.
I do not know if I am expressing this correctly, but in the top 1/3 of the tank it looks like tiny specs of something being blown around.
I have cleaned all componets that I thought may be causing this and have completed regular bi-weekly water changes. All water conditions are fine.
Please HELP :headwally:

What kind of mechanical filtration are you running? Do you dose?

Also, please list all of your current water parameters.

Am at work and do not have the parameters but I am using an aquaclear 110 with the (mechanical) sponge, (biological)Bio-max and Purigen.

I'd check your parameters too and if they are inline then it's mist likely particulate matter. In which case you will need a better mechanical filter, maybe a denser filter pad.

Are they microbubbles?

It would be odd for sediment to be in the upper third of the tank. Sounds like micro bubbles from one of your tank returns.

Your pulling in air somewhere.
Is your PH making a vortex on top of the water? Could your filter be getting air in it? (check seals if canister)
If you have a sump do you have a bubble trap?
Is the return from your filter splashing in? Or flowing in? (if its on top)
