Hey guys, I'm new here and but I've been lurking and looking into making a saltwater tank for a while, long stories short, I would like some hints on equipment suggestions other than what I have now and possibly stocking choices. I as of right now want to do a FOWLR but I plan on buying a LED light that I've read should work as a possible reef if I ever decide to upgrade to a mini pico reef. While we're at it, what does Pico mean? I know it's used in reference to nano reefs. I also want to add in I'm not a noobie at tanks, just saltwater.

Here's the equipment I am thinking about:
Tank: Fluval Spec V http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0089E5VLC/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=20GUT5T0T21NZ&coliid=I2ZQEV9SMJBG7O

Light: Wavepoint 12in 16W LED light http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007ZK816S/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=20GUT5T0T21NZ&coliid=ISOSD75OX7838

Circulation: Hydor Nano 240 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0036S4YZ0/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=20GUT5T0T21NZ&coliid=I1B3T6D0GHECN2

Test Kit: API Saltwater test kid http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001EUE808/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=20GUT5T0T21NZ&coliid=IN5KVT01XN2HE

Activated Carbon: Fluval Carbon Pack http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0049RIUWK/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=20GUT5T0T21NZ&coliid=I2B05AF57CT5NY

Specific Gravity tester: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00019JOSO/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=20GUT5T0T21NZ&coliid=I1FFELXGVWTPJ1

Glass Cleaner: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0061PIRGW/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=20GUT5T0T21NZ&coliid=I1FAC5MICMTB5T

along with a few pounds of live rock and roughly 5 pounds of live sand

These are all the things I'm thinking about getting, I know that it's suggested to upgrade the pump inside the actual tank as well but I can't remember which pump it is off the top of my head. Are there any mods to the tank that is done other than the pump? I've seen people completely take out the stock sponge and make their own style out of egg crate, if yall have any suggestions or better ideas equipment wise, I want to make this right and go down a path I haven't before.

Fish wise I really want to do a few cleaner shrimp and a false percula but I know people don't like the idea of having a false percula in this small of a tank, but the fish store in my area has some that are a pretty small size.

I know this is specialized towards the nano reef but I'm not getting many responses over there, I plan on getting a refractometer instead
