I've read all sorts of posts and stickies about live rock. Most recommend a minimum of 10% live vs other rock. Using all live rock is cost prohibitive for me. My question is other than live rock what other rock do you use? Do you get it at LFS? or what are your other choices. I don't remember seeing any posts on this. Sorry if I missed it.

Most of us use mined rock that is composed of old fossilized coral reefs such as Marco Rock, AquaMax.....

you are looking for 'dry rock' or base rock. The thing is that some types of dry rock will leach phosphates into your tank. This is a problem because unwanted algae feeds on phosphates. So it is good to research what type of rocks you are getting.
