I just bought a 1inc diameter rose bubble tip anemone for $20 I put it on a rock near my blower and it seemed to try to get on the glass and it lost its footing and floated almost in the fan but I was watching it and I turned the fane off inches from the fan... So I now have my blower off and I put it back on the rock. What do I need to do? Im hoping it will anchor itself at that part of the tank but Im really scared to turn my fan on right now while it is moving around. What should I do?

Thanks!

Are you talking about a powerhead? If so, you need to put plastic window screen or a foam pad around the intake.

Yea a powerhead, will it not block the waterflow?

Cuts the flow done some yeah. More so if whatever you put on it is thick.

I leave mine all off for at least a night, to let my new nem find a spot it likes. They can take a while sometimes to get comfortable.

He got sucked up in it again but didn't get hurt. Im going to try panty hose now, my LFS didn't have foam that fits my powerhead.

My anemone is super lucky to have got sucked up 2 times and not get hurt at all. Foot and everything is okay due to further inspection. The pantyhose on my power head seems to be working, maybe too much since it made a huge decrease in airflow. any suggestions as far as that? Garygb, you mentioned a plastic window screen, what is that and where can you get it?

plastic window screen - the same stuff you put on your storm doors or windows, any hardware store will carry it.

Home depot or a hardware store. It comes in a roll its window screen replacement. Just make sure its the plastic kind as stated. Pull the pantyhose super tight so it thins it out more and the flow will increase.
