Do they get along with blennies/gobies or is it a case of "add at your own risk"?

Some well tell you all hawks are the devils spawn but I have had two, still have one and it had been a model citizen, gets along with everyone. Even gets bullied occasionally by my clown. They have great personalities.

Unless your blennies and gobies are so much bigger, I wouldn't take a chance.

I've had my banded hawk for 5 years. Great personality.
A bit psychotic though.
Out of the blue he decided to eat a cleaner shrimp that was the same length as him. Swam around for a day and a half with shrimp sticking out out mouth before finally choking it down.

I have a Flame and a Longnose with 2 Blennies, and multiple gobies with no problems whatsoever.

I had a Flame and Longnose as well that were kept with a large Starry Blenny and an Orange-spot Diamond Goby pair. They were indifferent towards the gobies but the Flame would give chase every now and again if he didn't like where the Starry perched but it was all show. My tank was a 180 FOWLER with 365 lbs of live rock.

Flames get along with anything but another hawk. IME

My flame gets along great with everything. 2 clowns, a lawnmower blenny, a bicolor blenny, a file fish, and a sandsifter goby.

I've had my Flame for two days now and so far so good with a couple gobies and shrimp.

It does worry me that my cleaner likes to hang out by him.

My flame does well with all my fish except an algae blenny. The algae blenny thinks he owns the tank and will go after any fish that stays in his area too long. He even chomps on a crosshatch trigger that's 8".
