I bought 7 female Lyrietail anthias today and was wondering how long it will take the dominate female to morph into the male?? I ask because one of the large ones is the same orange color as the others are but I just noticed her dorsal fin looks more like the dorsal fin of a male and think she may already be changing.

It can happen pretty fast

The fin change can happen pretty fast, the color change sometimes takes longer to complete.

she/he is acting very strange during the change. She sits on the bottom a lot. How long will the change take? The dorsal fin has the large spike now but it is still the same orange female color.

You're going to wake up one day and suddenly that anthias will be a muddy color of what it will be, and that color will vary depending on region collected, redish or purple, and a day or two after that you will see it in all it's glory.
This change is pretty neat to watch, and this is one of the reasons why I always suggest getting all females.
Post pics of the process if you can.
