Good Day all!
I have recently finished my tank build. If anyone is interested here is the coles notes build thread: Build Thread (http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2381592)
I consider myself still new to the hobby but I have posted to this area of the forum as I'm looking to have specific Reef Advice.
Here is a photo of my tank. At this point it is completely a clean and blank slate for anything coral related.

I have 10 Blue legged Hermits and 6 Snails (assorted but all Algae eaters). This crew was started to deal with the expected diatom bloom. After about another week and 10 or so Ammonia/Nitrite tests I added 2 Clowns (Ocellaris). They have only been in the tank for 3 days now.
I would like to plan this tank to be an SPS tank (yes.. I know I'm new but I am not new to fish/water keeping just new to this particular tank). The current lighting is only a 4' t5. The lighting is over the rock work. This will have to do for the short term as I'm outta big $$ for the tank at the moment... Hoping I can do some frags for the next little while and then around November 2014 buy some LED's or additional t5's
With that said I was thinking about getting a frag of Frogspawn or Hammer Coral for them to feel a little more comfortable in the tank. I don't want to put an anemone in there yet I don't think the tank is mature enough.
So my question is, is there a concern with putting in one of the two corals I mentioned knowing that I plan on going SPS as much as possible?
As an aside, in my photo on the right hand side there is a little gap between the rock work. My circulation pump is hitting this rock work and creating a vortex that spins the sand down to the acrylic on the bottom. Rather than add another piece of rock there I'm wondering if there is a specific kind of coral (hopefully the frogspawn or hammer) that can handle the current there?? for reference the circulation pump is a Ecotech MP40. I can provide my 'cycle' for the pumps if it's required.
Looking forward to some advice!!
