Hello, I picked up a scolymia which was in a RedSea Max 250 for over a year near the bottom with stock lighting and I was wondering how long I need to acclimate it to my Ecotech Radions. Everything I have read on the forum and online simply says to acclimate to a new light "slowly" with no definition of what that means.

I have had it in my tank on the sand in a semi shaded area for 5 days and I have a tank that has a 24" height and lights are 6" off surface so with sand I think its about 28" between coral and the light. My tank is has quite a few SPS with a slow 11 hour ramp up and down with a max of 70% intensity for 3 hours during its peak.

How long before I should move it to more direct light? Thanks!

I would not. I would shade it in your tank. SPS heavy and i don't see you ramping your lights down for the scoly and sacrifice your sps. I have seen them bleach under radions.

Keep it right where you have it. My opinion.

Agree with the above, keep it right where it is
