So this tank is about 8-10 months old now i recently bought a mandarin dragonet about a month ago and tried him out with garlic soaked frozen brine it took him a bit too take a biat at the first but once he got the first taste he was hooked so i set up a little jar in the aquarium that i put some garlic frozen brine into and put my fingers over the top and place it on the bottum of the tank and because it cuts off all the flow the food stays in the jar as well as the other 2 fish are too big too get into the jar but the chromi and the clown hang around wiatng for the mandarin to go in as his swirlly fins some times pushes out food he knows when i fill it now and he seems very happy and very adventures.

Just putting it out there for an idea too other if it hasnt been done and open too sugestion attached some pics as well will try get one of him eating in the jar :)

she looks pretty skinny and that tank appears awful small for her.

The jar thing is not a bad idea, I might try someting similar in the future.
I never understood garlic for aquarium use though. You don't find much in the sea.
I prefer Selcon.

Thanks for the links mondobongo have skimmed thru some but will have a better look when I get time the mandarin wasn't overly fat when purchased I have been keeping a close eye tho defiantly is a lot more active and seems too have put on more wight I do try and feed twice a day and more on weekends the mandarin gets spot fed and eats quite a bit 4-7 pieces at a time more as I learn better techniques and that's also before the mandarin goes in the jar and loves too take food from the end of the syringe feeder very interesting fish too feed and in general must say I am very lucky with mine but am defiantly keeping a close eye I have mysis and anthiapods breeding in a refuge that runs over the back it would be about 25-30 litres
