Hello everyone...brand new to the saltwater world and had a question regarding my tank setup. I have the 29 gallon Biocube, after I arrange my dead rock (with a couple of small live pieces) and live sand in the tank, I plan on using distilled water for the fillup (roughly 22 gallons?). Can I add all of the water and then my salt or do I need to mix the water & salt before putting in the tank? I plan on using RO water in the future but waiting to purchase an RO unit to make my own. Any help would be appreciated...thanks...:artist:

On a tank that small it's prob going to be easier to mix it first. Then put it in. Especially since you already added the rock and sand etc. That's only 4, 5 gallon buckets of water :D

+1 mix first.
Make sure you get an RO also includes DI

Thanks for the quick replies, when mixing first, how long should I wait before the water actually goes in the tank? 12 hours...24 hours? I was also thinking about adding a box of the Nutri seawater product (4.4 gallons) as well? Good idea?

Probably doesn't matter much being your first fill with no fish in the tank, but future water changes the salt mix should be done 24-48 hours before the water change is done with live critters in the tank.
