With the sad loss of my gorgeous clam (suspects: Clowns) I would love to preserve its shell so it can live on in one way or another, perhaps as a desk weight or to grow soft corals on top of.
Any ideas?
If it becomes a desk weight, maybe there is a way to gloss it up?

Any spray gloss enamal at walmart or somthing would work. I would utilize it. I grew some green sinularis off of mine. Sometimes i take snail shells and put a small zoanthid frag in the opening to let them grow over the shell. Its cool to utilize it.

soak clam shell in bleach water mix 50/50 for 24 hrs let dry. Thats all you got to do

You can really just leave any seashell on a towel to dry. Scrub any meaty bits off, let it dry, maybe cover it in some kind of acrylic if you want it shiny.
