T5 fixture to supplement LEDs Question

I have a 55 gallon reef tank with two photon16s hanging over them. The growth is fantastic. The color is pretty good…I just feel it can be better. Someone suggested I supplement the LEDs with a T5 bulb. My LEDs hang 8" AWL. Would it be a good idea to purchase a single unit T5 with mounting legs to supplement the light? I was thinking I can use a purple+ bulb to help support pinks and reds in my sps. I just wasn't sure if the difference of having the LEDs hanging above the water line and the T5 bulb a little close would hurt anything. Also, the T5 would be mounting towards the back of the tank so Im not sure if that would give me enough coverage.

If this is a bad idea, can someone please suggest the best way to supplement the Photons with a T5 fixture. I can use all the help I can get.

I went with a metal halide, t5, led fixture. If you have a canopy, you can accommodate a retro kit t5 with leds. I didn't have the space. Good luck

I added a T5 retro kit to my Radion Pro.......to help with shadowing.
I put one in front and behind the Radion Pro, and used Coral + bulbs. They run for 5 hours a day during peak hours.

I modded an 8 bulb TEK light for my G3 Radions. I just wasn't thrilled with the color. Now i am.

I have added to my Kessil 360 Wes -4 T5 (2 * 24 W + 2 * 39 w) , yes it's 2 * 24 w due to the corner overflow that's name the length shorter . I temporary clamp the T5 fixture on the T shape glass which this make T5 at 6 " above water level .

I will aligned the T5 with my Kessil which is almost a feet above water level when I finally remodeled my aluminum rack.

As of now I only use sunlight white Chinese bulbs but I will change the bulb with ATI later . Can anyone advise what bulbs colors should I use to supplement my Kessil 360Wes?
