Ich wiped em out a week ago. I don't plan on buying another fish for 2 weeks or so. Do I just put some food in there to decay?

You really want to be fishless for 8-10 weeks to make sure ich dies. I am going through the same now. I still feed my corals and put some food for crabs and snails. This will keep the bacteria alive. When putting fish back, stock slowly again for the bacteria to build up again.

Tank should be fallow for at least 8 weeks. Drop a few pellets in the tank every week to keep the food web going.
