suggestions for filtration?

I was wondering what I could use in the back of my RSM 130D other than that bag of ceramic things it comes with. I guess it would be best to leave the carbon bag, but is there something better than the ceramics I can use?

LR rubble, just keep it submerged

As shifty suggested, rubble would be good. At some point, a bag of GFO might also be useful to go along with the carbon. If you can get some light in there, some Chaeto or other macro algae would be useful as well.
