I am in the process of my new build (150 gallon 72x24x20). I will be putting in a 75 gallon remote refugium. My original plan was to have a 75 gallon sump but now I realize that all I would have in it would be a return pump and a skimmer. What should I do?

Make the sump smaller?
Keep it that big for volume/stability?
Or what else should I put in there?

a huge refugium....Make three or four chambers...the last one (4th chamber) being a refugium that is feed from a tee in the return pump. You can control the flow in with a ball valve.

the first chamber for the drain/s and skimmer, second chamber for extra stuff like reactors and dosing pumps to drip into and the third chamber for your return pump.

I'm already going to have a 75 gallon refugium separate from the sump
