I have been having issues with my acrylic tank with leaks so I'm going to replace it with a starfire. My builder keeps telling me it's the stand that's causing the leak, I know the basement floor is not levelled but I tried to shim it as best as I can, in which the level bubble looks to be in the middle.
The new tank measures 23.5"x23.5" which is slightly smaller than my existing tank by half an inch. The stand has a flat piece of wood that goes across the top, I know the 4 corners would be very important to hold the weight but in this case, due to the size of the new tank base, the 4 corners will be sitting just about half an inch to the corner. Not sure if this will be a concern? I want to do it right this time.
My acrylic tank has bubbles in the seems even when it was brand new, I was told that's normal but I don't know if that's true.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
