Hello all, recently purchased a aquatic life mini 115 for my 30 gallon reef system. I modified the air inlit which is suppose to quite down the air gurgaling (pretty loud from the pump). I guess it kind of did but im confused to how much air I should be allowing in now. When I first plugged it in with no air restriction the water was flowing out crazy fast with a lot of micro bubbles. The collection cup was filling up full about every hour. I added a reducer to my modified air line and it seems to have controlled the amount of bubbles forming in the collection cup but now the valve in the skimmer has to be completely closed or the collection cup doesnt form any micro bubbles. Anyone deal with these skimmers before? I woke up this morning and it did seem to collect about 1/8 a cup of dirty water so its working I just cant tell if its not working enough.
