Hi, new here and new to the hobby. I have a few questions. First question. today I woke up to find my female clown finally playing in the RBTA. Of course I spent half my day watching her wiggle around in it face down. Upon closer inspection i noticed her sucking on the tentacles. Is this normal behavior? Also will the male eventually join her or will she allow him to?
Here is the YouTube link to show I'm being serious, after all, it was odd for me to see and google searching it... Well, some search links were umm kind of inappropriate.

[welcome]

Agree, totally normal.
Some say this is part of absorbing sting cells which helps make them immune.
If they are bonded I'm sure your male will be in there soon too.

Awesome. I wish mine would to that. My picasso clowns have completely ignored my BTA.

Thank you for your replies. I had my clowns for about 2months. Added them at the same time, one bigger than the other. They showed signs of a bonded pair from reading the pairing sticky. But she's bullying him again. Not letting him close to the RBTA. She has actually became protective of her new home. Even darting at the orchid dottyback if getting to close.

She's most likely just establishing it as her territory, pretty common, she should let the male into her home later.

It SPLIT! Now what? How long do I let it heal, when should I try feeding?

When my rose splits I dont bother feeding the splits for two weeks. They should heal up rather quickly if healthy and conditions are right.

I really hope my clowns do this with my RBTA someday, or.... anything in my reef really. Awesome video, thank you for sharing. :)

Are you telling me this will be a recurring event?
Out of curiosity, will my clownfish remain with both RBTA?
She actually helped with the splitting. Was a long process. But very glad I was able to witness it. Remarkable
