Go check out the ecotech thread in the sponsors forum section. There's a thread that shows how different people have mounted their radions over tanks.

haha, what?
You are po'd that you have to hang a light fixture?
How is the radion different than most others?

Get the hanging kit from ecotech, sunlight supply, etc. It's really easy to drill two holes in your ceiling and hang with a lag bolt and the hanging hardware.

D2mini has a nice setup with those lights :) If you don't want to hang them, there are other homemade options that people have done. The mounting screw size is easily found at a hardware store (M5 I believe, but am not sure) and mounts can be fabricated to your wall or tank.

3 posts? Hopefully there was sarcasm intended...

Tons of ways to mount the lights. Search on the Ecotech forum. Why get irritated by the lack of mounting methods built in. I'd rather not pay extra for several mounting solutions.

I don't like ecotech's mounting idea either but the thread that others are suggesting is the way to go. I am going the route of eztube.com (http://www.eztube.com) to mount my lights. :)

You're crazy... You think the sleek and modern look of lights hanging over the tank looks uglier than 2 giant metal bars coming off of either side or the back of your tank?

If you want an old school look to your tank then don't go with new technology. Ecotech is all about sleek and functional design. Not awkward and bulky.

I would much rather take 2 thin wires being all of that is visible of my light mount than square tubing running all over the place.

it would be nice to have an option like this for ecotech....

I used a $15 LCD Monitor mount to mount my halide. A radion would easily bolt up to the same mount.

Made these for my radions. I have really high ceiling so the hanging kit idea wasn't an option. I used ecotech's rail kits. I also used angle iron to fashion a way to rotate the middle radion where it was centered over the middle brace. Not sure if this is the way you're trying to go but it has been great for my tank.

Lika i said i like the radion but i hate the hanging kit. What u think is a "sleek and modern " "old school" is y right what u think.

I like the light. But in my eyes it looks so damn uggly with 2 wires.

I have a special version of RC that lets me see what's under those **** :)

Glad they were able to get you something you liked.

Your Swedish to English is probably just as good if not better then a good portion of native English speakers. Don't need to worry about that ;)

Agree...rather see a hood than homegrown brackets.
