New 340g coming soon with 75g sump. Total water volume about 350g.

Looking at the following skimmers:

A. Bubble Magus C99 - 2 pumps, 1800 L/H
B. Bubble Magus 29 - 2 pumps, 1800 L/H
C. Curve 36 - 1 pump, 1800 L/H

D. Super Reef Octo 5000 - 1 pump, 2100 L/H
E. Super Reef Octo 6000 - 1 pump, 2100 L/H

F. Diablo DCS 250 and 300 - 1 pump, 2400 L/H

* side note, I've had SRO in the past and could never get this skimmer to dial in and ended up selling it, I've heard this over and over on these skimmers. I replaced with a Bubble Magus, set and forget so far.

I also like the skimmer pumps located in skimmer for footprint/space saving.

The tank will be medium bio 15-18 fish, mainly lps, some sps.

Any other recommendations on skimmers? External is out. Thanks in advance!!

Imo you should look at the bigger em series skimmers from aquamaxx if you want a space saver. I'm not fond of the pumps on the bubble magus or the chinese made dc pump on the diablo. The sro internal skimmers are a little finicky also. Jmo's

If an SRO is sized well it will behave. I would look at aquamax em500

ok so what swc skimmer would you recommend? I have a 17 x 16 footprint, maybe a bit larger.

SWC.... none the guy is literally a convicted criminal... stick with aquamaxx or an SRO 5000 .

External not really an option right now. I did look at the aquamax and those may be an option. I'm not sure on this tank if an EM600 would be to much? I like the 2500 L/H vs the EM500 at 1500 L/H. An the fact it has two Sicce pumps. But the tanks only 350g....thoughts?

Place the skimmer in the sump.
