for me it seems when I have my alk above 10 some sps stn on me, others seem to like it. I try to keep it between 8-9 now to keep everyone happy. but without fail my alk goes above 10 I see stn on a few corals they seem to always come back tho unless I don't catch it for a while.

What are you using to reduce nitrate? I started a BP reactor and quickly dropped the nitrates but my corals started doing this. I believe I stripped the tank of all nutrients and everything started to die off. I now use redsea nopox and keep nitrate at about 1.

I don't know I run phoslock in a reactor that is all,maybe my test kit is bad

When running a tank ULNS be very carful with running alk above 9 or Sps will RTN.

I agree on the alk being too high. I shoot for 8-8.5. Also , P04 at .11 is too high. Do you run gfo. The picture in the other thread, the corals look pale. Try feeding more. I have best results with detectable N03. Feed more and run gfo to keep P04 low.
