Putting new sump in my basement... Do you think a 30gal sump is good enough for a 90 gal. Tank.. And what is the difference between putting the protein skimmer in the 1st. Stage or 3rd. stage thx john

Bigger is always better.

If I had to do it over again, I'd put my skimmer in the 3rd stage. You avoid getting detritus in your skimmer then.

honestly... if i were to put a sump in my basement i would go as big as i could afford...

Agreed. The 100gal stock tank is my sump for my 220gal. I love it.
