Hi Guys,

Virgin post from me .. all the way from the island of Singapore.

I am planning to get a 6x2.5x2 reef tank with DSB of about 4'.

The Tank will be viewable from both sides. Planning to do reefscaping ala two towers concept.

Tank is planned to be a mixture of SPS/LPS/Mushrooms/Clams eventually.

Thinking of buying 2 tunze 6000s with a multi-controller to be placed at both ends of the tank facing each other but will be pointed slightly off-center.

Will this be ideal Pls? Advice and recommendations pls?:)

2 6000's might not be enough, I would prefer to have 2 6100 and use tide mode on the multicontroller so only one is running at a time. If need be you can run both when the sand settles in and the corals grow in to obstruct flow more.

Would a 2.5ft height tank be more ideal or a 2 ft ht sufficient? will the sand bed be disturbed by the high flows of the 6000/6100?

Sand bed disturbance will depend on grain size, age of sand bed and rockwork. The deeper the better.
