I used backing soda for 2 part and taken 297 grams with 1 gallon of water and 15 days I felt the water is sticks is that normal ? I planned to discard it and make new fresh solution with sodium bicarbonate

"sticks" is not good. Stinky solution should be discarded.

There's no reason for a DIY two part to have a significant smell. I can't imagine what is causing it other than an impurity.

It my mistake my solution not dissolved properly and now I boiled the water and added 😊

Boiling it is OK and also shouldn't make it smell. :)
Hi every one, maybe question little bit out of topic. Can anyone advise, when doing DIY calcium part, it has settlement after a day or so. Do I have to shake solution before use/dose. Or shell I dose only clear solution, letting mix to settle down for a day? Thank you in advance.

It is fine to have a little sediment on the bottom. No need to dose it. :)

You're welcome.
Happy Reefing. :)
Hi Guys, I have one more question. I am making Alkalinity part as per receipt# 2 from reefkiining.com. I decided to make it much more concentrated. But solution still milky white. Do you think it is safe to use?

Why would you not follow the directions when mixing up unfamiliar chemicals?

Then just use recipe #1, which is 2x as concentrated. If you don't bake it it won't all dissolve

Want to make it more concentrate to save time for mixing :( next time

So if I use recipe #1 what is a highest concentration I can go? Can I do 4xtimes

I designed both recipes to be about as concentrated as you can easily accomplish at home.
I wouldn't try to make either recipe more concentrated, but the baked recipe is about 2x as concentrated to begin with. :)
