Been a while since I owned one of the MTC HSA Beckett skimmers and would like to hear from current users on performance, satisfaction, etc. Am considering one again. Would also be interested if anyone has used both their beckett and massei (sp?) skimmers and has a preference.

If folks could refrain from offing alternatives please - I'm either staying where I am (ASM G4+) or going for the MTC.

I know Bernie has quite a few experiences with both the beckett and massei. You may want to PM him.

In the MTC line I have ran the HSA 1000, Power Pro 4 (4 mazzei injectors), and the HSA 3000 (still running to this date), and all have been absolute beasts. It takes a big pump to run a beckett, but they're seriously strong skimmers if you don't mind the power consumption.

I have talked several times with the owner of MTC over the last month as I am looking to buy one of their skimmer too. He is going to be building the power pro line again and asked me to get back with him in a couple of weeks.
I also have read a couple of threads saying they are powering their HSA skimmers with DC12000L pumps now?

Yeah, talked to Jeff as well and think I'm going to pull the trigger on the HSA1000.

I believe I will take the HSA myself but want to check out the Power Pro first. He seems like a really nice guy and I have only heard good things about his skimmers and customer service. He said he still gets calls all the time for replacement parts for skimmers he built 20 years ago:)

Really, that would be interesting given the reduced energy usage. Where did you read that?
