Wondering what size systems people are running with this skimmer.

Up to 150 gallon display. I ran the em200 on a 150 SPS with great results. I have the jns sk2 right now and its a better skimmer than the em series imo. Same as the cones co2 without the little cones.

Larry from Aquamaxx said it would be suitable for a fully stocked system between 170-230 gallons. I'm just curious what people are actually running it on.

I'm thinking of this skimmer for my 125g /40b set up that's in the works.... Following.

I have about 160g total and the skimmer works very very well for me.

Anyone else with any experience with the CO-2? The specs say it is rated up to 350 gallons. Curious if anyone has used one of these for anywhere close to that (other than mr. pluto).

The co-2 is just a 6" diameter needle wheel skimmer. There's no way it could handle anywhere near 300 gallons. For a needle wheel skimmer to handle 300 gallons it would need to be at least a 10"-12" diameter with about 1600 lph of air draw minimal. Aquamaxx skimmers are well balanced, quiet, and affordable but way overrated.

I know there was a shipment on Aquamaxx skimmers a couple weeks ago. Thought I'd bump this thread to see if anyone from that last shipment has any experience they'd like to chime in with.

I have it on a 280 gallon system, less volume once you subtract rock and such. Seems to do well for me.
