I don't come here much. spend what time I have on my more "local" reef form. But thougt I would share my experience with brs dry rock.

In searching for information about po4 leaching from brs reefsaver rock I noticed many hits on there pukani for having po4 issues. I ran 230lbs of pukani a 120 gallon with a 50 gallon fuge and have to say that I had no problems! I only tested po4 many months after set-up and my problem was always having the hanna checker say 0.00 and haviing to actually overfeed my tank to keep the 50 display fuge happy.

thats my experience with pukani. anyone having any issues with the reefsaver rock?

I use the Pukani in my 50g cube and zero problems for me. The skim slime from my Tunze skimmer is not bad at all. Which suggests to me that the rock is like one giant biological filter due to its porous nature. I base this in my other tank having dense Tonga Branch and the skim slime is a dark green sludge with a lower bioload.
