Just messing around with my GoPro in my reef tank. Didn't turn out too bad.

That's awesome! I wonder if I could mount one in my tank and stream it online....?

Nice! Did you use any stabilizer for the gopro? That opening shot was pretty smooth. Kudos if you hand held and walked.

Thanks. I think that a live webcam in your reef tank would be very cool. Should be easy with a gopro because they have wireless networking capabilities.

Actually I'm selling those lights. I got new ones that are a little cheaper but have more power. The lights in the video are Kessil 150w sky blue with gooseneck mounts. Three of them wasn't quite enough for growing sps in a 150 gallon tank.

I just put it on a pole mount. That did help keep it steady.

That's the closest I'll get to scuba diving! Nice tank!

GO Pro chews battery like a 90s diskman. No way you are going to stream anything from one for any length of time without a wire. If you have to run a wire might as well get a camera that is designed for underwater with remote control :)

Still awesome for shorter videos. Be wary of older gopros with a bubble lens housing. They will not focus underwater.

Sweet video. Get it mounted inside and feed them :)

It would be way cooler if you could get the fish used to the camera and for them to just continue on luke uts not there. But its still cool. They all scramble and dont know were to go.

Did you use any filter on your case? I tried this with my hero2 way back when they were fairly new, but colors and focus looked horrible.

This is what got you.

This is from my hero2 while diving but it has a flat lens housing.

I haven't been scuba diving since I got the gopro. Definitely on my todo list for the near future. I have taken it kayak fishing and I lowered the camera onto a reef with my fishing line. Kinda risky and the camera kept spinning around on the line. I don't recommend it.

LOL you might have been better off attaching it to your paddle some how..I would say putting it on fish line is quite risky!!! LOL

HAHA awesome. Make sure to dive first with an empty housing!

Can't tell you how many times I've heard the statement. "My camera flooded, I dunno why, I just put a new oring in it!"

Thanks for the comments. I have several tanks but I just set up a 35 gallon acrylic hex in my office. I'll get some video of that next.
