Found this tiny clump of algae in my sand bed. I very carefully sucked it up (and the sand around it) with the turkey baster. So is it the DREADED bryopsis? I've scoured the rest of the tank and can't see any more. Should I start dosing mag or kalk or something right away? Should I buy a nudibranch (lettuce)? Or just speed up my purchase of a foxface?

Thx

Sure looks like bryopsis. If you can't find any more in the tank though, I wouldn't worry too much about it. There have been reports of turbo snails eating this stuff. Perhaps add a couple of those for now as a precaution.. GL.

Manually remove whatever you see, get some turbo snails, and pray lol...GL

Tech M is the only mag I know of that rids it if you see more.

I have a bunch of that on LR I bought from a local reefer. The rock was three years old. I have seen my hermits picking at it. I was hoping they would take care of it. I'm going to look into the Tech M. Thanks for the info guys!
