Tank: 10 gallon, 30 watt LED lighting, Bare bottom
One day, out of the blue, my extremely fast-growing birdsnest bleached. Only the tips are still alive and it has been this way for over two months. My other two birdsnest frags haven't shown any new growth at all since that day (which is unusual for them).
Also, I had some halimeda algae that bleached and fell apart. And I have stopped needing to clean the glass of coralline algae.
I used to add 0.5 ml/gallon of each of part ESV B-ionic daily to maintain my levels. Now I barely need to add any.
My question is; can abnormal magnesium levels explain this? I don't check mag because I assume the B-ionic takes care of it. Also, if it were low, I would be seeing precipitation around heaters and pumps (which I don't).
