I have been looking over threads and videos on youtube to help me decide if a wp10 or wp25 would be the best use of my money for my 24x24x16 SPS tank. If you have had one of these pumps on a similar footprint, what would you recommend?

With that size, I would get a pair of wp10 to eliminate some dead spots. If you just going to stick with one pump, then get the bigger wp25

I have my wp10 turned down almost all the way in my 29 g. I would go with the wp10.

Thanks for the suggestions. With this tank footprint, it seems like it is a toss up.

I have the dsa neo nano which is pretty much the same dimensions. I would get at least 1 wp25. I have two wp 10s and I was not able to create a wave in the tank with the pumps towards the corners. With both on else mode max it's what I would consider medium flow for sps.

How do you have the powerbeads positioned? On the back wall or the sides? So you ended up getting a wp25?

I have 2 WP10's in a 24x24x24 60 Cube and was able to get a pretty good wave going. Pumps are on opposite sides, one closer to the back and one closer to the front.

I have a wp10 in a 29g cube, which is basically the size of your tank, and it is more than powerful enough. In fact, Im having a hard time placing it without moving my sand all over the place. It is pointed diagonally and angled up, and the sand is still being moved around. Extremely powerful. This is your choice.
Getting a 25 would be overkill

I wanted to update everyone on my tank. I got a wp10 for my 24x24x16 tank. I have it on w1 mode at full power and I can already tell this powerhead will not be enough even if there were two of them.

Yeah. The 25 would have probably been the one to go with. However, the closer you place these pumps to the surface of the water, the more top wake it makes!

I ordered the wp25 tonight. I am not sure if I am going to keep the wp10 or sell it. I wonder if it is worth getting the multi controller?
