Upgrading to a larger system and I'm selling my current setup. For sale is tank, stand, sump and pump only. Asking $800. Setup is just about 2 years running. All purchased new by me. Paid over $1300 for these 3 items alone. Everything is in great condition. Tank has small scratch on front panel which is not noticeable at all unless looking for it. System is currently running. I will break down when someone buys. This is a great setup.

Tank: Deep Blue Professional Edge Rimless 48x18x20
Stand: Marineland Monterey in black
Sump: Trigger Systems Ruby 30s
Pump: Mag 9.5

No one? All plumbing is obviously included. $750 takes it.

No one knows anyone? This is a great deal on a great setup! I will also include 2 eheim jäger 150w heaters. All of these items are near $1500 brand new!

Drew,

I just wanted to give you a heads up. Most used equipment sells for half the purchase price, unfortunately. Even worse is that you were grossly overcharged for a rimless system.
I have purchased a 180 gallon RR tank setup for less, new.
Do yourself a favor and search other 75 gallon tank setups, you'll be shocked how low people sell this stuff for.
Also, LIRA members are CHEAP! haha, sorry guys, but it's true and I'm guilty as well.

Good Luck!

I sold my 95g wave take, stand, sump, plumbing and a few other throw ins for 200 bucks. Granted it wasn't in great shape. Sorry if this news is disheartening. I received a ton of messages from people offering $100.

I dont think I was ridiculously overcharged. I bought from a lfs. I mean of course there is a mark up. I priced around and everywhere was in that same ballpark. Heres what I paid...
Tank - $400
Stand - $550
Sump - $300
Pump - $100
Everything else on my system was bought online.
Im honest. Im open to offers but im not gonna give it away you know what I mean. If people are in this hobby they know how much things cost new. I feel $750 is a reasonable selling price. I mean its not like its crappy equipment. Maybe im wrong. I dunno. How did you get a 180rr new for less than what I paid? I need to know where you shop lol

I hear ya and I feel your pain. My wife bought me the setup I mentioned for 2k. When I sold it for 10% of what she paid... We'll I'm sure if you're married you could guess what grief I had to put up with

I get good pricing because I am an f'n pr!ck that will strangle someone for a good price. ;)
I shopped around and found a great deal. I sold it for $600 three years later. It was an incredible tank.

Really man, I am not kidding, no one on this forum will pay even $600 for a 2 yr old 75 gallon tank. I have been doing this a long time and I know the mentality.
The only items that bring in insane amounts of money are the hot corals that people go ape poop over.
I know quite a few of these cheap f$%^s that have paid thousands for corals. It's ironic really.

I'm guessing your wife won't let you have both tanks? :lmao:

I have a 92 gallon Bowfront tank in storage because my wife won't let me have two tanks. You have to pick and choose your battles...

Honestly, you have to do what I do when I am selling something. Talk it up.
Use words like rare, limited supply, free whosiwhatsi...
It works.
I used to do this at Reef meetings at the Brooklyn Aquarium society. We used to name stuff like Red Sea Banana Caulerpa. It made a lot of money for the club. :lol2:

Its not that she wont let me I just don't have the time to manage 2 big setups. Plus I really dont have the room anyway. I would love to have 2 setups. One reef and one fish only but its just not an option. I have no basement so its tough. Ill take ur advice and try to sell it better.

  i still think it's a great deal for a great setup and it's quality equipment. It's not junk. All of it was in great condition and maintained well. Also sold for 50% of what I paid not including taxes.

My wife shook her head and gave me "the look" but hey if your married and in this hobby I'm sure you all know "the look"
