It's reddish black, stringy, grows quickly and seemingly on anything. Even around the base of my corals. I took a short video (]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhkhFqrWgvY)of it as well.

It's possibly Cyanobacteria or dinoflagellates. Both of those are a nuisance and you want to attack them very quickly before they reproduce out of hand.

Hmm, I don't think it's dino, it's dark and typically single strands, no base. I am trying out chemi clean to see if I can get rid of the cyano.
My levels are rather low, 0 on API nitrate, 0 on Seachem Phosphate test. I dose vodka daily, and use lanthanum chloride occasionally (into a 5 micron sock). Obviously whatever this is, it's using up my phosphates giving me a reading of 0.
