I currently run an ATI 6x80watt fixture and would like to get new bulbs. I run now
2 Geissmann Actinic
3 Blue Plus
1 Coral Plus

Looking for something different. Any thoughts. I get decent growth but have a lot of Ricordia and Montiporas so I am careful not bleach out. Which has happened but who really know why.

A good all round combo.

If you want a bit more blue, then 4xBlue+, 1xCoral+ and 1xPurple+ is another classic combo people run on the 6tube combo.

You can also replace the Purple+ in the 2nd combo and have 2xCoral+.

Great suggestions, thanks. So stick with the ATI bulbs? What about the GE 6500k, any thoughts on this bulb?

Its actually a very good bulb with great all round spectrum. But it is heavy on the yellow/orange/red compared to most other tubes (hence 6500K).

IF you can tolerate the brightness of it, then yes, use it. But I feel its more suited in an 8 tube combo/unit.

I bought 2 of these tubes a few years ago, but never used them for more than a few hours.
