So need to drill my new tank for overflow and returns. I'm running a ghost overflow with 3 inch drains. I've got to drill for my returns. I'm a little confused on the best size. I know on my old reef ready 120g the returns were 3/4". Should I just drill two 3/4" inch holes for both returns? Or should I step up to a bigger hole?

I see some people suggesting running a 1" return. Does this mean use a 1" bulkhead or drill a 1" hole?

New tank is a 150w wide or 48"x30"x24"

Choose the size of the returns you want first (3/4" or 1"), then purchase your bulkheads. The size of the hole needed can vary for the particular brand of bulkhead you buy.
