I just redid my return pump and plumbing. I switch to eheim 1262 with tubing and I can save some space in my cabinet by pushing my sump further back.

Currently I'm using a straight barb on the return line going to the display. If I switch it to a 90 barb i wouldn't need to loop the plumbing underneath it which stops me from pushing the sump all the way back.

Any concern with switching it to a 90? The pump is plenty strong to handle another 90 and can recover about 2-3 inches by making this one change.

I appreciate your thoughts.

Putting 90s in really kills flow. Any pics ?

Attached is a pic.

You can see the loop I tried describing. I would put a 90 in place of the straight barb.

Thx.
