I currently have 3 blue/green Chromis about 1.5 inches, a purple dotty back about 2-3 inches, whip fin fairy about 2-3 inches (i'm pretty sure femail), Kole tang about 3-4 inches, and a fire fish about 2-3 inches. A local guy was breaking down his tank and had a red headed wrasse i couldn't resist, its also my wife's favorite wrasse. The dotty back will be coming out sooner or later whenever i catch him as he ****es off any new additions, but when the guy said large wrasse, he wasn't kidding. It's about 5 inches, my question is, if i put him in as big as he is, do you see any issues coming from this? I have a 90g tank. He is currently in Q/T.

Your Whip Fin will definitely have something to say. An acclimation box is a must in this case. With this fish being so large, the Whip Fin will definitely see it as a threat. Keep it in the box for as long as it takes, but release just before lights out.

Whip fin is fairly new as well, about 2 weeks in the d/t. Since he's not even a quarter of his size i didn't think he'd be the one going after him, i was more worried the red head might go after something in the tank.

The red head shouldnt bother anything, you would be surprised at what a whipfin will go after, but the size difference should help.
p.s. if the whipfin is showing a filament on its dorsal(hence the name) then it is a male.

i don't see the filament, thats why i think its female, is there a difference in aggression between male and female whip fins?

Red head are very mellow fish, my ( 5 inches) got chased right out of the tank by a maroon clownfish
