mp 10 in small tank

Hi everyone, great forum. If was wondering if a mp 10 is to much for a Mr Aqua 12 gallon long?

I think you could turn it down enough. What is the length? If your spending that kind of $ on a power head you should get a bigger tank :D

Length is 36 inches. Can't have anything big in my apartment unfortunately. If really like the 12 long. It could do the 25 cube but not sure. But like you said it does cost some money so if it's overkill i won't bother. If just want the tank to look very sleek.

Its too much. Look at the Jabeo wp10. Much smaller will fit nicely.

I don't think it would be overkill when you set your maximum speed just dial it back. The Jebao wp-10 is small, but not as small as an mp10 or nearly as well built. The picture above doesn't include any of the mounting gear for the pump that also adds size/length of pump. After reading through threads and hearing about all the sudden, mysterious pump failures I decided to spend more and get the mp10. Figured I'd rather spend more up front and have something that will last me a while versus buying replacements from China all the time. Plus I really like the no wires in my tank and the super small footprint of the mp10.

Jebaoa are good I have a wp40 on my 75 and it moves a lot of water

I had a 12 long before I upgraded to my 40b...I had a Koralia nano that was awful - I had to supplement the flow with another tiny pump at the other end. I did buy a WP10 for my 40 (to add to my 2 MP10's) and I think that'd be perfect in your tank. It has a similar footprint as the Koralia and more power.

The 12 long has such sweet dimensions - awesome little tank :) Looking forward to pics of your setup.

mp10 should be fine...you have the option of turning it up or down so you can adjust to your liking
