Hey RC.
Just have a few questions that you guys may be able to help me out.
My home is going to get fumigated in about 3 weeks and i have a reef aquarium. I googled my question and i found a few threads on the forums stated a few ideas.
In my situation, i will be staying in a hotel and i can’t take my reef with me. There goes the option to 'take the reef out and with you.' Another option, having a friend take care of my corals and fish while the house is on lock down… I’m fairly new on the forums, haven’t met many reefers to feel comfortable and ask them for the favor… So, in other words, that’s out of the picture. Lastly, i read that a few members completely sealed their tank and had two lines coming from the tank to fresh air outside of the house. One line was is for fresh air while the other acts as an exhaust. Some even risked it and simply sealed the tank and cut down on lights. They reported their tank held up perfectly fine with both methods.
Well my questions are, do you guys have any experience with home being ‘tented’ as they get fumigated?
Any recommendations?
Little about my tank. It's RSM 250 w/ 70LBS of rock, 50LBS of sand, chiller, 7 fish, corals and inverts.
Anything and everything will help.
Thanks in advance,
Braulio (Bee)
