Using the Red Sea kit, I show an Mg level of 1220. This is the day after a water change using IO Reef mix (orange bucket). I mix it to 1.026, testing with a refractometer.
I wanted to raise it >1300 since I do have some GHA.
I do need to test fresh water to see what it is before adding.
I then added 120 ml of B-Ionic Mg, and will test again tomorrow.
Am I maybe doing something wrong? I don't really know if the Mg is being used up, or need to switch salts, or if 1220 is fine.
