I've been looking around for this skimmer. Seems most us retailers are out of stock. EBay and China based eshops have it for less than 50% off.

What's the deal with this and is buying from China legit? What's the benefit of buying a Chinese product from a US retailer for a marked up price vs buying direct from China for a MARGINAL discount?

I got mine 2 months ago from aquarium hot deals. I'm pretty sure it's a internet site for Seaside Aquatics but I'm not sure. Anyways, great price and shipped fast from Orange County, Ca.

Just get a sc aquariums skimmer...best price and its the same thing, my sc301 is hands down my best purchase yet... Theres a 302 and 303 model u can get for 120-140$

I haven't been very pleased with my curve 7. Not trying to shy you away from making your purchase but just giving my personal experience. The money you save from buying overseas should be put in the sicce pump to replace the rock sp that the skimmer comes with I think you will be much happier with the sicce.

If your lookin for a deal there u go lol, i have the 301 and have had no issues, theres a huge thread on them. My sc 301 works like a champ, silent, and i paid 85$ free shipping! U can probly offer 145$ and they will accept. They use atman pumps wich got a somewhat bad name for some defects they had, but for the most part theres not many more bad atmans being made then any other pump, and for the price u can replace it 3x and still be ahead of the game. Performance wise my sc 301 compares to high quality expensive skimmers, if my skimmate is light its just because my waters sooo darn clean lol
Not bein pushy it just makes alot of sense to me to go with a sc aquarium skimmer

Thanks for the recommendation. Do you have any pictures of the 302 or 303 in action? The 302 might be a bit too big for my sump space.
